Regarding current outdoor advertising planning, Mr. Tuan said that since the year the Advertising Law was applied, outdoor advertising planning in most Vietnamese provinces and cities has been suspended and cannot be implemented.

According to Mr. Tuan, the advertising planning is “suspended” because according to the Law on Advertising, “New locations for outdoor billboards must be bid.” He believes that this regulation is unfeasible. In fact, the land has private owners, or organizations, so their assets cannot be reclaimed for bidding. “The “bidding” thinking is not suitable for advertising planning positions” – Mr. Tuan stated his opinion.

Regarding solutions to remove problems for outdoor advertising, the Chairman of the Hanoi Advertising Association proposed planning billboard locations, considering inheriting billboard locations that have been operating for many years according to previous planning. there.
